My crazy cat!

by Sarah
(Texas)

The cat I have now is named Carrie. One day I was in the laundry room putting some clothes into the dryer, and also putting another load in washing machine. I started to walk out of the room when I heard an unusual high pitched crying sound. I wasn't sure what it was, so I began looking around.

I figured it was Carrie, as she has a habit of hiding in odd places, only this time I couldn't find her. I looked in the utility room, then I walked through the kitchen, looking in the cabinets, but there was still no sign of her.

I decided to walk back into the laundry room, hoping that I had just overlooked her. The crying got louder as I called her name a third time. Finally I opened the dryer door, and there was my cat, in with the clothes, tumbling around on low cycle.

I can only imagine how frightened she was. I thank my lucky stars that I found her, and that she was alright. Now whenever I do laundry I always look inside dryer and washer to make sure she hasn’t jumped inside.

Disaster in the making
by: Anonymous

This is not a humerous story at all, and could well have ended in the death of your cat.

There are far too many cats who are killed or seriously injured because inattentive owners don't check before they start their dryer, then walk away. Have you ever seen the end result of a cat who has had the torture of of going through an entire dry cycle? It is not a pretty or at all humorous sight.
